I have yet to finish episode 9, but personally, I disagree that Darcy has been portrayed as a villain in this season… she certainly isn’t portrayed as a model citizen but my perspective is that she has been portrayed as a victim — the fact is the show highlights multiple accounts of physical abuse (victim), multiple accounts of her attempts to remove herself from the situation with Artie and unfortunately, multiple accounts of her being coerced (manipulated, if you will) into returning to the abuser.

I can’t speak to the matter of doxxing her name, or her willingness to participate and I’m not up to speed on the legality of the situation publishing her personal information but my thought (perhaps an ignorant one) is that for one, Kenji is within his rights to tell his story and to use his on name if he chooses and while I can agree that not doxxing Darcy’s is a valid point, anyone who found her would have done so whether a fake name was used or not after searching Kenji — and as awful as it is that Darcy.

Sadly, without Darcy participating in the show it becomes quite easy for listeners to, in my opinion, misinterpret the information presented as villainizing Darcy. There have been other seasons where there have been similar dynamics like season one with Kaylan, Melissa, Sara, Mimi, etc having been played against each other and at times seeming to be villainized before getting further along and being brought full circle to the realization they were just being manipulated and are all victims.
